Diever — KIT

At the studio Diever is working on photography and textile works. She draws her inspiration from everyday life. With her photography she focuses on the places you pass so often and think you know so well, that you don’t even look at them anymore. For example, the curtains in front of your neighbor’s window, or the cobwebs in the corner of your room.

Diever is studying to be a tailor and wants to make clothes that will last a wearer years. The inspiration for the garments she makes often comes from workwear. She finds it interesting that this clothing has a practical purpose and isn’t made just to look nice. She also looks at what people are wearing on the street, who aren’t really into fashion. For example, people who simply grabbed whatever was on top of the pile that morning.

Diever hopes KIT can be an accessible space for young artists to experiment and showcase their (new) work. A place to draw inspiration from one another and to share the enthusiasm for making, materials and art.
