Open Call
KIT project space is looking for Rotterdam-based artists to send in their work to our Open Call!
For this upcoming exhibition, we are looking for artists whose work engages with the theme invisibility, in regards to (indirect) limitations to freedom of spatial movement in off- and online space.
Like a fly, only able to travel in straight lines, creating a restrictive box for its own movement. Like nondescript arm rests on park benches, purposely malpositioned to erase homeless people from public space. Like an online shadow-ban, unannounced and unexplained, silencing critical voices. Like being told to ‘run along now’, in a societal system built to weaken the weak and empower the powerful.
We encourage all artists who feel affinity with these themes to submit their works no later than August 14th 23:59pm.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! You can reach us on Instagram by DM (@_kit_space) or by mail at info@kit-space.org.
