Noor — KIT

Noor Boiten

Noor Boiten is a visual artist working with mixed-media video-installations that combine sculpture, video, text, 3D animation, and photography. Their research-driven practice examines how digital culture shapes gender and can be used to understand the inner workings of structures of domination.

Their work creates intimate settings in which images drawn from digital culture intersect with layered conceptual narratives, critical writing, and a touch of humor. It challenges us to reflect on our relationships with physical and virtual spaces, and the objects, people, and ideas that inhabit them.

With KIT, Noor wants to create an accessible space for experimentation. Here, participating artists can work in close collaboration with other creatives in the studio directly attached to KIT’s project space, forming a strong and supportive network of and for artists in Rotterdam.
